Janelle Mann is Professor at the University of Manitoba and holds a PhD from Queen's University. Her research passion includes commodity markets, resources, and environment. You will most commonly find her working with time series data investigating price transmission, arbitrage, and asymmetries. She has funding through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund, and her 2021 Mitacs Globalink Research Internship projects were accepted for intern matching. Dr. Mann’s research has been published in quality journals such as the Canadian Journal of Economics, Empirical Economics, and Energy Economics, and her research has been presented at dozens of conferences. In 2019 Dr. Mann was nominated for the CWEC Young Researcher Award. She was also nominated for the Faculty of Arts Teaching Excellence Award in 2018 and the Falconer Emerging Researcher Rh Award in 2016. She is an active reviewer for journals including Applied Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics, Economic Modelling, Empirical Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Journal of Commodity Markets, and Journal of Economics Behavior and Organization.
